Sorry for the No-Show

Hey, guys.

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting reviews lately. I’ve been super busy with a move from little Munich, Germany to the massive Bangkok, Thailand. That’s right, I’ve moved from west to east, and I’m currently enjoying the warm (hot) weather here.

I know I said I’d be keeping this blog up to date with reviews throughout this crazy time, and I’m truly sorry I haven’t kept my word. However, I will have a safe home soon, and I will start reading a lot again. You should expect (approx.) a book a week once I get ramped up. I still have a lot of books in my backlog, so don’t worry.

To those of you who have sent me requests this year to review your book: I will get back to you in the next month or two. If you are sending a request from now on, please bare with me while I try to sort my reading and real life out.

Also in the news, I have moved hosting provider. My last hosting provider (Dreamhost), was a bit too slow for WordPress and the site seemed always to be nonresponsive when logged in. I do hope my new provider can do a better job. So far, they have been so helpful and understanding during the transition. I do have high hopes for them.

I’m interested (as always) to hear back from anyone who reads this blog, or my reviews. I’ll be posting some new reviews very shortly. This year will likely start off with some business books as I have been reading quite a few of them. I guess then I’ll start with the backlog again.

Into some other (unrelated) news, I’ve started writing my new book. I don’t know if I told you, but I wrote a novel (YA) that was kind of similar to Harry Potter. It did, however, get rejected by around 20 agents. Mostly generic replies and one wanted to read the whole novel. So, I took that as a sign that my work wasn’t original enough. Now, I have a new project, and it should be pretty unique. It’ll take a while to write the whole thing (I think my last novel took six months). But, I have a feeling that if I get through this, I might get more bites to read it.

I do hope I can write some more short stories here. I probably won’t publish them in the Medium group that I previously posted them. But, I will post under my name and hopefully start seeing some people reading my stuff.

Thanks for understanding,
